Milwaukee is my choice of power tools. But I have found that Harbor Freights Hercules line is pretty good in a pinch and still used them regularly.
Dewalt for the heavier duty work (saws, impact driver) and Ryobi for the lighter duty stuff. For the life of me I don’t understand why people dislike their hand tools. I have a drill, nailer, and oscillating tool that have had a rough and busy life and they just work. The batteries last a while too.
Tools I inherited from a pro general contractor are all over the map. Makita sawzall, Bosch jigsaw, craftsman drill, and lots of craftsman wrenches.
