It was a busy weekend and I almost missed the fact that, since officially launching on March 32nd, 2022, The Autopian has logged over 200,000 comments as of this weekend. That’s mighty impressive for a site that’s barely over a year old and a sign of what a wonderful community we have here. The comments on The Autopian are not an afterthought meant to dangle there to make space for more ads, they’re a big part of what we offer. Would you like to see what the 200,000th comment was?
Of course you do.
Here’s a link and here’s the comment:
That comment is in reference to this post about the Georgia DMV banning kei trucks and the ridiculous double standards in place. The humor, sanity, and vigor involved In the post (plus all the exclamation points) make it a perfect Autopian comment.
These aren’t just one-offs, here are some fun stats:
Also, we have six commenters with more than 1,700 comments, with the top two commenters (you can guess who those might be) competing for the top spot with each one hovering around 2,000 comments.
How many months do you think it’ll take us to get to 300,000 comments?
First of all, congratulations on the latest milestone!
“…since officially launching on March 32nd, 2022…”
Hmm, since when did the month of March have 32 days?
Is the “Posts” link on the account page supposed to do anything? Because it doesn’t. It just opens the account page on a new tab.
So how do you feel about partial comments? Sometimes I get halfway through writing something, but I’m at work and
Thanks
