I have a ’68 mustang, that just went to the Autobody shop for painting. I’ll enter it when it’s done hopefully later this year.
Feel free to fill out the survey now, it will take a while before I get to everyone.
I’ll save you all the pain of needing to read about a modern Chrysler van described in excruciating detail by staying away from this.
So this is not where Autopians get driven around in one of Miss Mercedes’ transit buses? Or that Goth Ferrari?
Well that is a disappointment.
Well, I suppose the other possibility is thatTthe Bishop would design a sedan chair and eight Autopians would be drafted to carry Jason on his daily rounds in it.
Or piggyback rides.
If you want to ride around in my broken Cruze, I am happy to oblige! You just have to promise to help push if it breaks down on us.
I mean, my car is pretty boring, but then I guess most Autopians are based in the US, and have probably never even seen a VW Polo, so maybe I’ll get around to taking a few pics and send it in, just for the novelty value.
I freaking love Polos, but yeah almost certainly because I can’t get one here. I have seriously considered importing one a few times, especially a GTI but my last imported European hatch didn’t go so well…
Oh but I guess I should explain the process, no worries about pics right now. Just click the survey link above and answer the questions. Your answers generate onto the spreadsheet I have, then I go through and reach out to people as I can to interview them about their cars, and at that point I’ll need the pics and draft the write up from what we discuss.
Cars: Personal, and epic.
Bikes count right?
And this is the Autopian so I’m really hoping “running” is not a requirement
Sure! Throw some bikes in there. Running is def not a requirement.

He has an 04 RX8 and 02 IS300 Wagon which he drives roughly 10-15 times per year, The only notable thing about them is they both have Ohlins PCV suspension and an extra engine + manual trans has been waiting on standby for the IS300 for over 4 years now because Lexi apparently don’t break.

I love the IS wagon! I would love to do that write up! Though I think it’ll be a bit longer than the above…
I’ve been waffles on sending mine in since I joined. I reached out to Brandon while the form was closed so I went ahead and submitted.
Thanks! Looking forward to it!
Just sent mine in, in case you all haven’t heard enough about my cars already.
Did the same. Hopefully I get to talk someone’s ear off about my Datsun. It hasn’t happened in minutes!
Just be aware that, y’know, they’ve gotta aim to keep people’s attention so some stuff may be cut if you send a novel’s worth.
My story of running over a dead dear at 68mph with cruise control on almost entirely unscathed didn’t make the cut, for example.
All in all I would’ve liked to emphasize the sheer camaraderie that comes with driving a crew (friends, family, bank heist partners, etc.) in a comfy van, but I feel like that might’ve gotten lost in translation.
I sent a very brief summary only, assuming there would be a followup asking for more details and/or additional questions. If not, mine is going to be awfully short.
Same. I figured there would be a small interview so I kept it short. I’m not good at talking about myself.
Oh, no worries there–I sent answers to initial questions, then got some more specific questions to answer, and that’s where you get wordy, with the understanding that not everything will make the cut.
We haven’t had a Datsun before, that’ll be fun!
Oh, and I have a Peugeot 306.

Ah! Sorry, PTSD kicking in on that one! Amazing car, when not broken.
Ours is a basket case that won’t pass tech inspection. It’s a pain in our bum.
Haha I know the feeling.
Impossible to hear too much about a viper!
World needs more love for Siennas. I’m looking forward to that.
Although, y’know, I could stand to learn about the Viper ownership experience too!
Yes. We’ve all heard about your Prius collection…
Just be careful, some people don’t like if you have a nice car!
