Hello Autopians! As many of you know, I’m spending the week getting covered in gas refilling a generator just to stay cool in a camper, and oh, looking at some wonderful aircraft history at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2023!
The show has been great and as I’ve been told, it’s very likely a record blowout in terms of planes and people in attendance. EAA is celebrating its 70th birthday in style. Before I head home on Sunday, let’s have a meetup!
I apologize for the somewhat short notice, I haven’t had a stable internet connection since Monday.
Here are the deets:
What: A get-together to talk cars, planes, and whatever.
Where: Target at 1900 S Koeller St, Oshkosh, WI 54902.
When: Sunday, July 30 at 12:00 p.m.
Why: Because planes and cars are awesome!
I’ve chosen a Target just outside of the EAA grounds. There’s plenty of parking, some places to eat, and you’re still close enough to the event to catch aircraft on their way out. This will probably be a shorter meet so you can get back to checking out the final hours of AirVenture.
I chose an earlier time in case you need to get on the road to get home.
If you make it out, you’ll get to see the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro I’m testing as well as my family’s roughed up camper. Sheryl and my birds will be making an appearance, too.
If you’re a member of our Discord, updates will be posted there as well as on the Milwaukee-Chicago Autopian Facebook group. We hope to see you out there.
Arrived last night at start of the storm. Will be unable to depart for Sunday’s meetup but welcome a “hello” during show?
Maybe a dumb question, but if I’m already in the event, is it a huge pain in the ass to leave and go to the Target and then come back?
and bring sunscreen and water folks.
Yay! Couldn’t make it there until Sunday so this is perfect!
See you there! I’ll bring my three boys (two sons and a collie) in my black Silverado.
