Honestly, I prefer using the soft G (J) way because it just sounds right to my ear. The hard G way always sounds forced for some reason. However, oddly, Giphy with a soft G would also sound wrong to me. It makes no sense whatsoever, but that’s why I prefer saying it Jif.
